Pair of large covered porcelain vases with polychrome decoration in famille rose enamels depicting a couple of dignitaries accompanied by their servants under a pagoda. The reverse features banana leaves and flowering prunus among pierced rocks.
The shoulder is highlighted by geometric friezes with cartouches and flowers, and a stylized frieze on the base.
18th - 19th century.
Height of each vase: 72 cm
Total height of each vase with bronze mounting: 79 cm
Later period European chased and gilded bronze mounting.
